Fellowship Program

For recent graduates interested in gaining up to one year of experience in a startup environment before graduate school. Work on projects ranging from synthetic biology languages to automation software alongside our team of scientists and engineers.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to active R&D projects in synthetic biology, bioinformatics, or lab automation
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers on tools for DNA design, strain engineering, or protein optimization
- Develop scripts and data pipelines for biological data analysis
- Participate in team discussions, journal clubs, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Document your work and present findings to the broader team
- Explore new technologies, methods, and ideas that could benefit the platform
What We're Looking For
- Recent B.S. or M.S. graduate in biology, bioinformatics, computer science, chemical engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in computational biology, synthetic biology, or biotech software
- Basic programming skills in Python, R, or JavaScript
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to Have
- Research experience in molecular biology, genomics, or metabolic engineering
- Experience with bioinformatics tools (BLAST, sequence alignment, phylogenetics)
- Coursework or projects in machine learning, data science, or statistics
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development
